Frequently asked questions

Shipping, delivery routes, sizing, care and returns. Everything below is what we actually do — if something here is unclear, the answer is usually on the product page under its measured sizes.

Shipping & delivery

How does international shipping work?

Our worldwide express service is arranged together with our shipping broker. Instead of locking every parcel into a single carrier, the broker picks the most suitable route for each destination — combining carriers where that is faster, and switching routes where that is cheaper — so that every order gets the best possible value for the money spent on shipping. The chosen route and its tracking link are attached to your order when it is dispatched.

What does delivery cost?

Standard tracked delivery is $24.00, free on orders over $250.00. Express, the fastest broker-routed option, is $65.00. Both rates assume a parcel of up to 5 kg — anything heavier or unusually bulky is quoted before dispatch. Import duties and local taxes, where they apply, are the responsibility of the recipient.

How long before my order ships?

It depends on what you ordered. In-stock pieces — the fragrance line, the printed apparel and the 3D facemask — leave the studio in 3–5 working days. Paws, tails, plush and the made-to-order boots take 2–4 weeks, because the pair is built for one wearer after the order comes in and nothing is cut before the measurement is settled. Commission work is quoted individually — currently around 6–10 weeks, because the fur has to be ordered in the right colour and matched before anything is cut.

Can you combine two orders into one parcel?

Yes — place both and note it on the second order. If neither has been started yet we pack them together and refund the duplicate shipping.

Orders, sizing & care

Why can I not check out right now?

Ordering is paused while we finish maintenance on the backend. Browsing, product pages and your cart all keep working, and your cart is saved on this device — it will still be there when ordering reopens. Checkout and account sign-in both show the same notice.

How do I choose a size?

Sizing is set per listing. The apparel pieces — Tsuba, Fables and the Egyptian Raiment — carry a size dropdown from S to XL; paws, masks, tails and plush are made in one size. The boots run the other way: each pair is made to the wearer's own foot measurement, so there is no size to pick off a chart and nothing is pulled from a shelf. If you are between two garment sizes, take the larger: faux fur has a little give but it does not stretch back.

Can I request a custom colour?

Each listing offers only the colours currently cut and in stock — the dropdowns on the product page show what is available for that piece. Custom colourways belong to commission work, and commissions are closed at the moment.

How do I care for faux fur?

Brush the pile with the grain, hand wash cold with a gentle detergent, blot rather than wring, and dry away from direct sun. Never tumble dry. A slicker brush plus a silicone-free detangler sorts out most matting.

What is the returns policy?

Thirty days from delivery, unworn and unwashed, in the original packaging. Faulty items ship back at our cost, and repairs on pieces we made are quoted individually.

Are the photographs the actual product?

Yes. Every photograph on this site was taken of the studio's own work — there are no renders and no stock images.

Sizing, colour and finish for each piece are listed on its product page — that is usually the fastest answer.
