Made by hand
Nobody sees these parts. They are the reason a GentleFur piece still looks new after five years.
Every face is embroidered and every seam closed by hand, so nothing peels after the tenth wash.
We wash-test each fur bolt before it enters the shop. If the pile mats, we do not buy the roll.
Replaceable joints and generous seam allowance mean a repair in 2031 is still possible.
Inside the studio
GentleFur began in 2016 when a friend’s fursuit commission turned into a waiting list. Today it is still a small team: pattern makers, one fur blender, and a cat named Mochi who supervises quality control from the fabric shelf.
We buy faux fur in full bolts, cut by hand, and finish every face with embroidery rather than glue — which is why our plush survives the washing machine and why we can mend one five years later.
Kind words
Pulled from verified reviews, typos and all.
“The fennec has been on every flight with me since March. Still looks brand new after two washes.”
“Ordered paws three weeks before a con and they arrived early. The padding is genuinely comfortable after eight hours.”
“You can tell a person trimmed the brow rather than a machine. The care kit saved my tail after a very damp weekend.”
